Eric B. Masternick, D.P.M., is Board Qualified in Foot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a graduate of John Carroll University with a BS in biology and a minor in chemistry and from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.

Dr. Masternick was raised in Youngstown, Ohio and attended Boardman High School where he participated in Varsity golf and tennis. He also enjoys basketball and running. After graduating from John Carroll University (Cleveland, Ohio) and Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (Cleveland, Ohio), Dr. Masternick completed a three year surgical residency at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio. The residency concentrated on all aspects of forefoot and rearfoot surgery with a concentration on reconstruction and limb salvage procedures.


Upon completion of residency, Dr. Masternick joined Ankle and Foot Care Centers of Youngstown, Ohio where he practiced for three and a half years. He served as vice president and president of the Eastern Academy of the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association for 3 years before he relocated to join Fox Mills Foot and Ankle Center in December of 2008. He is currently on the active medical staff of Reston Hospital Center and INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital.

    Dr. Masternick has lectured on general foot problems and treatments, limb salvage procedures, pediatric foot pathology and treatment, ulcer prevention and care, and reconstruction. Audiences have included general public, surgery residents, pediatric residents, internal medicine residents, and family practice residents. He is also involved in helping out with the personal trainers at LifeTime Fitness in Sterling, Virginia.
