Edison K. Picklesimer, DPM

Edison K. Picklesimer, D.P.M., is Board Qualified in Foot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

Dr. Picklesimer is a graduate from Virginia Tech with a BA in both biology and psychology. Following completion of his undergraduate studies he went on to receive his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Picklesimer currently practices in Reston, Virginia and is on the active staff of Reston Hospital Center, INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital, and Fairfax Hospital.

Dr. Picklesimer was raised in Greenville, South Carolina where his brother and parents still reside. While in high school Dr. Picklesimer was actively involved in a wide variety of student government positions and athletic endeavors inclusive of tennis, swimming, and basketball.

After graduating from The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Picklesimer completed a three-year surgical residency at Fairfax Hospital here in the Northern Virginia area. He served as chief resident during the third year of residency and also trained at Georgetown Hospital where he received his fellowship in Lower Limb Salvage and Reconstructive Surgery.

Today Dr. Picklesimer is still actively involved within the medical and resident community of the Northern Virginia area. He participates in weekly residency and hospital programs and lectures to both college and high school students on opportunities in medicine. Outside of work he continues to pursue hobbies of drawing, hang-gliding, scuba diving and mountain biking.
